Designed for repair professionals

B‑Diag Diagnostic Technology

A premium replacement battery designed to simplify repair setup, restore battery health information, and streamline installation on compatible iPhone models.

Diagnostic Compatible

Designed to work with the iOS repair setup procedure on compatible models and software versions.

Battery Health Displayed

After successful setup, iOS may display maximum capacity again, initially at 100% for a new battery.

Simplified Installation

A solution designed to reduce the complex handling normally associated with transferring data from the old battery.

B‑Diag or B‑Diag+? Both versions offer the same Diagnostic function. The difference is the battery’s energy capacity.
Standard Capacity

B‑Diag

A premium standard-capacity Diagnostic battery designed to replace the original battery while providing more complete software integration after the applicable setup procedure.

High Capacity

B‑Diag+

The same Diagnostic technology, with a higher rated capacity for models available in a high-capacity version. Actual battery life varies depending on the device, system condition, and usage.

How does Diagnostic technology work?
1 Communication

The iPhone communicates with the battery management circuit to interpret data related to charge, temperature, capacity, and battery health.

2 Setup

The B‑Diag battery incorporates technology designed to communicate with iOS diagnostic and repair setup mechanisms.

3 Result

After successful setup, the iPhone may register the repair and restore battery health information, including maximum capacity.

After replacement with a conventional battery, iOS may display “Unknown Part” and make some information unavailable. The Diagnostic result depends on the iPhone model, iOS version, and procedure used.

This technology does not make the battery a genuine Apple part and does not mean that the part or repair is certified by Apple.

What are the main benefits?
More complete repair integration within iOS.
May prevent the “Unknown Part” message after successful setup.
May restore the battery health indicator in Settings.
Maximum capacity initially displayed at 100% for a new battery, depending on the model and procedure.
Less complex handling compared with older transfer methods.
A choice between standard-capacity B‑Diag and high-capacity B‑Diag+.
Setup procedure after installation

The exact procedure may vary depending on the model and iOS version. When Repair Assistant is supported:

1Install and test the battery before final assembly.
2Update the iPhone to the required iOS version.
3Connect the device to a stable Wi‑Fi network and maintain a sufficient charge.
4Open Settings, then General, About, and Parts and Service History.
5Select the option to restart and finish the repair.
6Follow the on-screen instructions, then check battery health and repair history.

A tool, activation, or additional steps may be required for some versions. The technician must always follow the procedure that matches the exact model being installed.

Maximum capacity, battery life, and aging
100% Initial Value

The initial reading indicates that the new battery is recognized and configured with its starting capacity. This value will naturally decrease with use.

B‑Diag+ High Capacity

Rated capacity is higher when this option is specified on the product page. The actual improvement in battery life varies depending on the device and usage.

Like any rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the battery is a consumable component. Its capacity and performance gradually decline depending on charge cycles, temperature, fast charging, usage intensity, storage, and device operating conditions.

iOS compatibility and future updates

Diagnostic technology is tested with the iOS versions available when the product is introduced. Its operation depends in part on the operating system, Repair Assistant, servers, and recognition mechanisms controlled by Apple.

A future iOS update or a change to these systems could:

Change the status displayed in Parts and Service History.
Cause the “Unknown Part” message or a similar notification to reappear.
Hide, change, or make some battery health information inaccurate.
Change or interrupt the setup procedure, or require a new one.

The battery’s hardware quality and applicable warranty remain separate from its software recognition. Celltro cannot guarantee that the resulting status will be maintained permanently or that the battery will remain compatible with all future iOS versions.

12-month warranty and important information
12 months
Celltro Commercial Warranty

For eligible manufacturing defects, in accordance with the general warranty terms.

What remains covered

An eligible battery hardware defect during the applicable warranty period.

What is not a hardware defect

The reappearance of a message concerning authenticity, verification, battery health, or history following an iOS update or a change to Apple’s systems.

Excluded wear and damage

Normal wear, gradual capacity loss, improper installation, puncture, excessive pressure, impact, liquid damage, external overheating, or improper use.

Product type

B‑Diag and B‑Diag+ batteries are compatible replacement parts, not genuine Apple batteries.

Subject to applicable statutory warranties, the limitation related to updates concerns software recognition only, not an eligible hardware defect.

To the extent permitted by law, the commercial warranty is limited to providing a remedy for the part confirmed to be defective. Labor costs, data loss, lost revenue, and other consequential damages are not covered.

Recommendations before installation
Have the battery installed by a qualified technician.
Verify compatibility with the exact iPhone model.
Inspect the battery and never install a bent, punctured, swollen, or damaged part.
Clean the battery compartment and remove any debris or screws that could put pressure on the battery.
Test charging, discharging, connectivity, temperature, and recognition before final assembly.
Check the iOS version and follow the Diagnostic procedure for the model.
Inform the end customer that this is a compatible replacement battery, not a genuine Apple part.
Explain that a future iOS update may change the status displayed.
Celltro Transparency

Compatibility with the Diagnostic procedure is verified using the iOS versions available at the time of sale. A future update may change recognition or the information displayed without necessarily indicating a battery hardware defect.
